About DJ

Athenz, born Athena Armylagos, is a Multicultural Model/DJ from Houston, Texas. Purchasing a guitar at the age of thirteen is when it all started for her. Over the years of taking lessons, playing songs by ear and finding new genres, led into discovering a new style of music and a way of mixing two or more songs together. Using her musical knowledge, she was able to get a firm grasp of DJing and her passion shows through it.

 Being in tune with a variety of music genres, her idiosyncratic style ranges from old school to new school. When mixing two tracks together she produces a unique sound that reflects her sense of individuality. Adapting to any environment she is in, Athenz knows how to move a crowd and capture their attention by narrating a musical story that has a beginning, climax and an end all within a set time.

 After having her own radio show with DJ partner Chris Zane at the University of Houston in 2012, she then formed a duo side project by the name of Chris & Athena and are actively playing gigs. Athenz moved on to play public/private events, clubs and bars/neighborhood pubs and is always finding ways to inspire her listeners
