About DJ
DJ Brant Jacob grew up in East, NY where hip-hop was everything. However, his musical inclinations couldn’t be contained by one genre of music. Hearing the soul and funk music played by the older people in the park, the rock and disco his parent’s listened to, and the break beats of the kids on the basketball court, he knew there was a way to bring them all together. At 17 years old, Brant understood his calling and became and open-format DJ. Starting out in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn performing at small bars, fraternity and sorority parties, and private events. As time progressed he moved on to larger events, corporate parties and NYC clubs (Marquee, Pacha, Tao). His style was live remixing and transitioning between genres, his technique was infallible. DJ’s love his knowledge of music regardless of time or type, and crowd’s love to hear new mainstream hits remixed live in front of them. He loves to mix in songs where everyone knows the words. Don’t be surprised if you’re listening to Brant and he mixes in your favorite Backstreet Boys or Nirvana song.
