The newly remodeled Sony Store in the Aventura Mall (MIami) held a private re-opening event on  May 8th 2013 hosted by Miami Magazine. The front and center feature of the opening party put DJPeoples DJ Supersede, the official DJ for the Miami Dolphins, up against Miami ‘s own DJ Artime to battled it out for DJ supremacy.  DJPeoples utilized its own line of DJ Booths to give the DJs plenty of arm room to cut it up and win top spot.  All attendees received a ballot upon entry to vote for their favorite DJ.  As Party goers listened and danced they enjoyed cocktails by Tequila Herradura and bites from Sweet & Tipsy Cupcakes.  Sony “Tech Artist” Erin Una Chainani was also on hand creating beautiful digital sketches displayed on the crystal clear Sony monitors throughout  the store. Although it was a close call DJ Supersede took home the Sony Trophy for “Best DJ”.

Inside, Sony fans will be able to experience all things Sony.  From Sony music artists playing over the speakers to Sony Pictures movies playing on the immersive 4K televisions, the full breadth of Sony’s assets can be enjoyed in one great place.

The new design was developed with a focus on the guest experience, and features a light, bright, and flexible store layout that makes it easy for people to test and try their favorite Sony products. The innovative interior walls are moveable and changeable, allowing new color schemes to be reconfigured to highlight specific products, services, or content.
