Steve Tappen, aka DJ Elite, has been a regular fixture in Metro Detroit’s night life for over 10 years. With residencies at local hotspots like Elektricity, The Majestic, The Magic Stick, The house of Shamrocks, and two casino night clubs in Detroit; The Works TV Bar and Goodnight Gracies in Royal Oak. He has shared the stage with headlining DJ’s such as, DJ Shadow, DJ Atrak, DJ Shiftee, DJ Qbert, and many more. DJ Elite has been garnering enthusiastic audience response and critical praise for his party rocking style of turntableism. Self trained as a scratch DJ in the early 2000′s, DJ Elite brings his appreciation and deep understanding of the technical side of DJ’ing and combines with his unique music selection that pleases a wide range of audiences. Quite simply, DJ Elite takes listeners on a musical journey through multiple genre and eras, seamlessly mixing, rocking crowds, and keeping energy levels high.
