About DJ

Born and raised in Phoenix, HartBreaks (Anthony Hart) is an experienced DJ in a variety of styles.  Over the last five years he, with like-minded Arizona DJs, has been responsible for bringing many diverse styles to new ears: from dubstep and UK funky, to classic soul and modern funk, to hip-hop and moombahton.

Voted “Best Young Hipster DJ” by Phoenix New Times in 2010, he has co-founded popular DJ nights Downtime and The Scenario and is the founder of Civic-Space Jam, the first DJs-in-the-park event in downtown Phoenix.

In addition, he has been popular as a DJ-in-residence, with events at Phoenix Art Museum, Portland’s, Casablanca Lounge; and for hire, spinning at events for Yelp, Betsey Johnson, Guess, Red Bull, H&M, and Ann Taylor.

HartBreaks has opened for many internationally-renowned DJs and producers, including Database, The Gaslamp Killer, 12th Planet, Ana Sia, Mexicans With Guns, Anna Lunoe, Salva, Michna, D-Styles and Eli Escobar, and has supported such acts as araabMUZIK, Mary Anne Hobbes, White Arrows, Girl Unit, Bok Bok, and Kingdom.
