About DJ
Zapata is a nightclub & Latin house DJ, residing in Phoenix, AZ. Originally from Mexico, Zapata grew up listening to Latin music and has practiced all types of dance for many years such as Pop, Top 40, house, EDM, salsa, cumbia, ect.. Dancing came out, naturally. Following the beat is what lead her to what she is now, DJ Zapata.
Zapata began playing Latin acoustic instruments such as bongos and congas. These instruments infuse music to the fullest and often find their way into her song selections. Zapata performs in local and international venues and loves sharing her passion for music.
Zapata’s mix-‐tapes & local performances have given her a fan-‐base. Supported by this crowd, she won the best DJ 2012 Stylos award. Zapata has traveled internationally to share her passion for music. Now she is in the process of producing her own music, which will be released soon.
