Q1-What a Start!

Hi DJ’s

I hope all is well. I want to thank you all. As our first quarter wraps up, things are looking great for DJPeoples and all of you. We have had many successful events during the first three months of this year, and expect the next quarter and beyond to be even better. For those of you that have been doing events for us, you have all been wonderful. However, there are several of you that I still don’t have the information that I requested from you back in February.I know we get busy, and sidetracked, but some of you who have worked recently will not be able to get paid in a timely fashion, because we don’t have your current info.

Additionally, we are launching our new digital DJ “Look-Book”, which is going to provide more opportunities for you to work with us and make more $$, which I know makes you all happy.

Our business is fairly simple. We really don’t ask a lot of you, and what we do ask, we expect to be respected. There are a few things that I have addressed in the past, that bears repeating.

 1)      We pay twice per month…on the 15th and 30th. For all events you do between the 1st and 15th of the month, you will get paid on the 30th of that month.

2)      For all your events between the 16th and 30th (31st), you will get paid on the 15th of the following month.

3)      We are expanding and building a nationwide DJ talent base. I asked you all to please refer DJ’s to me that you believe would be an asset to us and also make you look good ;) Many of you have referred some great new people to us, and I am thankful. I had offered and will continue to offer a referral fee to you if we hire your referral, and use them going forward. Once they complete three events for us, I will pay you the referral reward as promised. Unfortunately, we have had a couple of not so good situations with new DJ’s that were referred to us. Please think long and hard before you put your personal stamp on someone you send our way.

4)      The NEW POLICY effective as of April 1: All new DJ’s that work for us or want to work for us will need to provide us with their personal info and complete an employment application and  W-9, as well as provide us with a copy of their drivers license and event contract. DJPeoples will pay all DJ’s directly. If you are unsure or have any questions, please email me.  (I am attaching the necessary forms)

5)      We are having business cards made for all of you to pass out at the retail events you do with us. They will be mailed to you soon.

6)      I am getting requests from clients to do some production work in other major cities. (sound, lighting, DJ Booths, etc) Please let me know if and what you have available production wise, along with photos, and I will try and utilize you for those needs.

7)      This is the last call for your photos, bios and paperwork. I am giving you until April 22, 2013 to provide us with it all. Think about your brand, your image and how you want to portray yourself. We have celebrity and star DJ’s that we are able to sell as such. Their photos and bios reflect it. Then I get gangsta looking photos from some of you. Sorry, but that type of thing and look won’t work for high-end retail, or weddings and corporate events.

8)      Please include photos of your DJ set-up and façade or booth if you have one.

9)      I am looking for more DJ’s in Texas as a whole…in and around Houston as well. Live musicians too. Please help us out with this.

There are some tremendous new opportunities coming our way. We would love for you all to be part of them. All we ask is that you honor our simple requests.

Lastly….say hello and welcome Aysha to our team. Aysha is Marc and my new Admin, and Sales Ass’t and is going to be involved in all correspondence. Anything she requests from you, is coming from us. Be nice to her.

As always, my virtual door is always open.

 Peace & Love.
